They said… Foundation Day’s past celebrations were exciting! They said… The events were full of thrilling moments! They said… Those days were fun-filled days for sports games and memorable activities!
Well… I say, “Great Christian Academy’s way of celebrating the Foundation Day is really GREAT!”
Being a transferee, I did not have any idea on how my new environment celebrates such event. Hearing those remarks from my classmates and friends made me look forward to feel and experience it, myself.
Weeks before the celebration, everybody seemed so busy preparing for one of the most-awaited times of the year. We also had our own sports practices and presentation rehearsals. HOPEs filled the air that we could win over other levels in sports games and that we could get the big applause from the audience on our presentation.
The big day came… It was my first time to wear sportswear and it really made me so uncomfortable. But thank God! As time passed by, my hesitations eventually left me. We enjoyed the whole event -We did our presentations well though we were not able to win on sports games. And at the end of the day, as I remembered every single moment of it, I was EXCITED… it was FULL OF THRILLING MOMENTS… and it was a FUN-FILLED DAY, undeniably!
With this kind of experience, I could tell and re-tell to the new students of Great Christian Academy that God has perfect ways in showing His loving kindness to us… That whatever celebration or event our school holds, His plan is to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future… GREAT, indeed!
